Off-highway systems

Platform-ready drive systems for off-highway machinery

Off-highway machinery is characterized by a high degree of variance in applications, performance requirements, and operational profiles. Conventional individual solutions or retrofit approaches can quickly reach their limits – particularly regarding scalability, production costs, and maintainability.

Platform-ready systems take a different approach: reusable modules, standardized interfaces, and scalable architectures make it possible to develop different machines on a unified technological basis. This shortens development times, reduces complexity, and minimizes technological risks.

We develop such platform approaches at the system level. This includes software libraries and proprietary components such as high-voltage distribution systems and DC charging interfaces. This is complemented by monitoring and data solutions that support operation and further development in the field.

Sophisticated and modular

Standards for scaling

The challenge

Individual custom solutions and retrofit approaches often lead to high complexity, longer development times, and limited scalability. Components are not coordinated, interfaces vary, and every new machine requires significant development effort.

The solution

Platform-ready systems are based on standardized, modular building blocks. Electrical architecture, software, components, and interfaces are designed so that they can be reused and adapted across multiple machines. Integration points are clearly defined in the process.

Process

How platform systems are created

From definition to development and scaling.

01

Defining the platform

Together, we define requirements, power classes, and areas of application as the basis for a scalable system architecture.

02

Developing modules and interfaces

We develop standardized components, software modules, and interfaces that can be flexibly combined.

03

Implementing integration and scaling

The platform is integrated into specific machines and expanded to different applications and power classes.
